— Management of soil fertility and plant nutrition — |
Impoverish the agricultural lands is a very important factor that has endangered the capacity of agricultural production and the achievement of sustainable agriculture and food security.
If proper soil fertility management is not applied, soil fertility is endangered as one of the pillars of sustainability of production resources and the productivity of agricultural soils is reduced. In addition to maintaining soil fertility, proper plant nutrition is essential in order to achieve a sustainable, continuous and desirable yield.
The main purpose of this program is to identify the status of soil fertility and plant nutrition and to establish and implement integrated management of soil fertility and plant nutrition in Iran.
Program Objectives
• Recognize the soil fertility status of the country
• Recognize the nutritional status of major crops and orchards in the country and identifying the main elements involved in reducing yield
• Recognize the effect of yield of different cultivation methods on the amount of organic matter and increasing soil fertility in permanent plots
• Recognize the effect of nutrients and plant growth stimulants in reducing environmental damage such as the cold, salinity and drought
• Determining the effect of biofertilizers and plant growth stimulants in increasing the efficiency of fertilizer application
